Phillip Miller comes to Colorado as a hat salesman. Salesmen traveling in those days stayed with their customers rather than in hotels. Miller’s customers were requesting so many items in addition to hats that he thought to himself, “Maybe a catalog company would be a good idea!” |

Catalog company is founded as Stockman Farmer Supply Co.” Offices and warehouse open at 1629 Lawrence in downtown Denver, Colo.

Phillip Miller designs rodeo shirt for Tom Mix. Miller & Company becomes incorporated.

“Farmer” is dropped from the name on the catalog and the company is now “Miller Stockman Supply Company.”
